Welcome to Emory Church!
Thanks for taking a moment to stop by our website. Here you’ll find some frequently asked questions about Emory that we would like to share so you’ll feel right at home on your first visit.
Q: What time are the services?
A: Our traditional service is Sunday at 9:00 am and lasts about one hour. At 6:00 pm, we meet for a contemporary prayer and bible study worship time based on that Sunday morning’s scripture lesson and message.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Dress in a way that is comfortable for you. Most people at Emory dress casually.
Q: What are the services like?
A: Emory’s 9:00 worship service is a traditional liturgical service. There are several hymns, scripture readings, an offering, prayers, an anthem, and a sermon. Everything is mapped out for you in the worship bulletin, so there won’t be any surprises.
The 6:00 pm bible study time is called ” Keep It Real” and is an informal gathering with a message, sharing personal stories, information, ideas, contemporary music and fellowship time.
Q: What do you offer for children?
A: Every Sunday we have a children’s message during the service. At 10:15 there are Sunday School classes for all ages. There is a nursery available for the 9:00 am service and children are always welcome to stay in the service. To see more about our offerings for children, click here.
