Letter From The Pastor’s Heart

Blessings Everyone!

Emory Family and Beyond,

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

(Romans 5: 8)

There is extreme power and truth in that verse.  The verse shows us that God’s love for his own is unwavering because it is not based on how lovable we are, but on the loyalty of his own character. God’s supreme act of love came when we were at our most undesirable.

The question is, do we know how impactful that can be in our own hearts?  Love from a Christian perspective is the cross.  The cross shows us the ultimate price of love that Jesus Christ had for us.  When we were God’s enemies, Christ was able by his death to reconcile us to God.  Now that we are God’s children, Jesus can keep us by his living power.

With that love inside of us, there should be a desire to know more about Jesus and his teachings and through his teachings, it not only grows our love for him, but it also strengthens us with a faith that can never be shaken.  We have to do our part to honor the One who gave His life for us.  Read His Word, meditate on His Word, ask questions about His Word, pray and meditate on His Word.  Ask the Lord to open the floodgates of Heaven to you so that the Word of God, God’s love letter to us, becomes truth and the truth shall make you free. John 8: 32.

Let us be there for one another today and always to know God’s love for us will direct and guide us in the days ahead.

Much Love to All!

In Christ!
