When It’s All Been Said and Done

2 Timothy 4:1-5 New American Standard (NASB)

I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Are we listening?  Are we hearing?  Do we just want to hear what our itching ears want to hear?  Is the Bible meant to rebuke and encourage?  What is church all about?  Is it for me or is it for God?

When It’s All Been said and Done.  Whether we believe it or not one day you will meet the Lord.  It can be when we take our last breath or when the trumpet sounds and the dead in Christ will rise first and all the saved, born again disciples of Jesus Christ will meet him in the air and forever we will be with him.  Judgement is coming and we will be judged for the things we did or did not do for the kingdom.

Will you be with Him when you take your last breath or will you be with Him when the trumpet sounds?

If your answer is a without a doubt YES then you should know the answers to the questions at the beginning of this letter. Is your answer YES at the end of the lyrics of this song?

When It’s All Been Said and Done lyrics:

(Robin Mark)

When it’s all been said and done

There is just one thing that matters

Did I do my best to live for truth?

Did I live my life for you?

When it’s all been said and done

All my treasures will mean nothing

Only what I have done for love’s rewards

Will stand the test of time.

Lord, your mercy is so great

That you look beyond our weakness

That you found purest gold in miry clay

Turning sinners into saints

I will always sing your praise

Here on earth and in heaven after

For you’ve joined me at my true home

When it’s all been said and done

You’re my life when life is done.

When its’s all been said and done

There is just one thing that matters

Did I do my best to live for truth?

Did I live my life for you?

Lord I live my life for you!

I pray that you would understand how important it is to know the answer about where you will spend eternity.  It is not about being part of a denomination, and being baptized as an infant doesn’t get you to heaven.  Keeping a check list of all the things that you have done for the church; thinking that you will earn your way to heaven, will not get you there. Being a good person will not get you there.

Accepting Jesus as your LORD and Savior will be the only way you get to God and the only way to heaven.  Is Jesus LORD of your life?

John 14:6 New American Standard (NASB)

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Can you say I lived my life for truth, Lord I lived my life for you?

In Christ!
