5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3: 5-6
Relax! God is in control! As I stated in Sunday’s Live feed message the church is not on vacation nor is the church closed. We are the church wherever we are. This is the time for God’s people to pray and to pray for the church to come together and for the church to pray for the end of the nationwide pandemic.
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
2 Chronicles 7: 14-15
We the church called Emory will be alive and active in our prayer life, Bible study, and having our eyes and ears open to those in our congregation and in our community that may need help during this time. Please keep tabs on your neighbors and those in our congregation. If anyone needs help please call me at 443 752 3111 and I will pass the information on to others in the congregation to help lend a hand.
At this time we have been told that we cannot meet as a congregation but that does not mean that God’s work in and outside the church ceases to exist but will continue during this time and it all begins in the heart of this congregation called Emory.
With that being said, there are still expenses that Emory must face in the coming weeks. I understand that money is a difficult issue to talk about, but I feel it is necessary for us to understand that the Lord’s work must continue. So I am asking that Emory send their tithes and offerings to Emory Church P.O. Box 94 Street, MD 21154. In the mean time I will be getting with members of the council to see if we can set up on-line giving. Stay tuned.
I truly appreciate all the love and hope that Emory gives not only to me and my family but to everyone who calls Emory home. Together we will get through this and together we will be stronger in the Lord and each other.
I will continue to do the live-feed messages on Facebook live on my personal Facebook page for Stephen Smith, and also on YouTube once the message is transferred to that website. The Facebook live message will start on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. (Note time correction-previous communications have stated a different start time.) Please make that time to come together and hear God’s word.
Thank you for your understanding and I hope we will all be back together real soon.
